Learn about electric school buses from the amazing students in Arizona who lobbied their school board for comprehensive climate action.
Created by Ojas Sanghi, Reem Farhat, and the Arizona Youth Climate Coalition in Tucson, Arizona
On October 29, 2024, students from the Arizona Youth Climate Coalition successfully lobbied their school board to pass a comprehensive school district climate action resolution. Over the course of about a year and a half, students aged 13 to 20 researched, created and lobbied for the resolution. Their resolution includes a comprehensive GHG inventory, energy efficiency and building electrification, sustainable food and reduced waste, heat resiliency and preparedness, water conservation, climate education and, of course, school bus electrification.
