Lessons from One Year of Teacher Training on Environmental Justice and Decarbonization
Find out how our New York cohort applied lessons in their classrooms during the 2024-25 academic year.

The New York Environmental Justice and Decarbonization Summer Institute, run by Educator Collective for Environmental Justice (now Environmental Justice Forward) and World Resources Institute’s Electric School Bus Initiative, welcomed a cohort of educators from across New York for a three-day training on decarbonization, with a focus on electric school buses and environmental justice. Environmental Justice Forward then supported them throughout the year as they created lesson plans for their respective classes.
